One more hard whack of the bat and you'll break open the Piñata and be showered in candy and treats! Did you know that one of the only surviving traditional Piñata makers who learned the art from his father, lives right here in Albuquerque? Generations of Burquenios have gone to him to choose the perfect shape and the unique ingredients for their Piñata. He uses layers of paper maché pasted onto balloons and decorates everything with bright tissue paper. This festive flour sack dish towel depicts a child picking out her piñata in the store and later breaking it open at her party. Did you notice the expression on the fish's face? What a fun and festive dish towel to display on that special birthday!
