FAQS

Can these towels be washed?

Yes, everything we print is laundry safe and can be washed with your whites. Our colors will not run, they will just fade over time if you wash often. Our ink manufacturer recommends cold water wash to keep the colors bright, but our clients tell us all the time that they wash our towels in hot water without a problem. If anything gets stained, we recommend that you soak the towel in a non-chlorine bleach (like Oxy-clean). Do not use regular bleach. Expect some shrinkage (5-15%) on any of our natural fiber products.

Where do you get your towels?

Though all our printing is done in Albuquerque, our cotton flour sack dish towels come from an ISO 9001:2008 certified manufacturer in Pakistan. We are proud to partner with this facility that is committed to environmentally friendly production processes and treating their employees well. They pay top wage and provide a safe and upscale work environment for their team members and ongoing learning, development and growth opportunities.

We have tried numerous times to source towels that have the same feel and absorbency domestically, but unfortunately, we have found that the towels we use are no longer milled in the USA.

We do not share our sources for our materials.

What inks do you use?

We use water-based, eco-friendly inks exclusively (no plastisol!). This is so we avoid solvents for cleanup. Many people ask us for our ink source - we don't share this info with the public, but we recommend that you look online for various resources. Most anything can be sourced online!

Do you do custom designs?

No, not really. We rarely do custom designs for individuals (for a wedding, for example), and we never print other people’s artwork or logos. We occasionally do custom work for our wholesale clients who have a track record selling with us and have reached a certain level of sales.

Do you have a store?

Yes! Our flagship brick & mortar store is in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where we do all our procuction. We also have an online store that you can access through this website. Pretty much everything we sell in our store is online. For store hours, refer to our website as they change throughout the year.

Do you offer tours or workshops?

We offer a "Behind the Scenes" look into our production process twice a year. We also offer at least one workshop each summer. Look at our “Events” page for details. For private tours for groups larger than 10 people, contact us by email (keiandmolly@gmail.com) with your interest.

Where do you find your employees?

We are committed to creating good jobs for immigrants and refugees in our community. We work with Lutheran Family Services, a refugee resettlement program in Albuquerque, to find new printers when needed. We also keep any resumes we receive from people interested in joining our team.
