Who We Are

We make textiles by hand, but what we’re really building is a workplace rooted in opportunity, creativity, community, and care.

Our Story

It started with a bigger idea.

Founded by Kei Tsuzuki and Molly Luethi in 2010, our studio has always been a vehicle to create meaningful jobs for immigrants and refugees in our community.

With over 30 combined years working in the nonprofit sector in women’s economic development and education, Kei and Molly were determined to show how a for-profit business could be sustainable and fueled by human-centered values.

Molly retired at the end of 2023, leaving Kei with her amazing staff to keep moving the vision and mission of the studio forward.

Our Mission

More than textiles.

Our work is about what we make, but also about how we make it, who we make it with, and the community we are part of.

Community

We believe a business can be an active part of its community. We welcome groups into our studio, offer printing workshops, support local makers in our shop, and invest in educational opportunities for immigrant students through the Kei & Molly Scholarship.

Environment

We print with water-based, eco-friendly inks, filter our wastewater to keep pigments out of the water system, choose natural fibers, find new uses for fabric scraps, and use solar power to help meet our electrical needs.

Good Jobs

Secure work, good wages, support, and opportunities to grow.

Made by Hand

Every design is screen-printed by hand by our Albuquerque team.

Connected by Humanity

Different nationalities, religions, languages, and stories share one workplace.

Meet The Team

The hands behind the work.

Today, our staff consists of trained artisans, immigrants, and refugees from around the world, working together in craft and production and screen-printing each design by hand to service orders from stores nationwide.
